Weather Overlays
Flaresat can overlay real-time weather data on top of any map style, including Satellite. Toggle layers from the Map Layer Selector in the top-right corner of the map.
Available layers
| Layer | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Precipitation | Rainfall and snowfall intensity |
| Cloud Cover | Cloud density across the sky |
| Wind | Live wind speed and direction |
| Temperature | Surface air temperature |
| Pressure | Atmospheric pressure and isobars |
Layers are fetched in real time and update automatically as you pan and zoom.
How to enable a weather layer
- Tap the Layers icon in the top-right corner of the map.
- Under Weather, tap the layer you want to enable.
- Tap again to disable.
You can stack a weather layer on top of any base map (Standard, Satellite, Terrain, etc.).
Notes
- Weather overlays require an internet connection.
- Layers are not available in off-grid mode.
- Data is sourced from a third-party weather API and may have a short update delay.
