Guest Mode

Guest mode lets you use Flaresat's radio mesh features without creating an account. If you only need to join or create a Radio group, no cloud sync, just LoRa radio, you can be on the map in seconds without signing up.

How to enter guest mode

On the sign-in screen, scroll past the sign-in form to the RADIO section at the bottom. Tap Continue without account.

You will be taken directly to the home screen in guest mode.

Your profile in guest mode

Tap the Profile icon in the top bar to open the profile overlay. In guest mode, the identity card is replaced with a guest panel showing:

  • // GUEST MODE label
  • RADIO ONLY status with a brief description
  • A SIGN IN button to switch to a full account

The stats and account settings sections are hidden while in guest mode.

Signing in from guest mode

You can sign in at any point without losing your local Radio groups:

  • From the Profile overlay, tap SIGN IN
  • From any cloud-gated feature (Online group creation, Organizations, Cloud Backup, Cloud Relay), tap the sign-in prompt that appears

Signing in exits guest mode and gives you full access to all features. Your Radio groups remain on-device as they always have.

Exiting without signing in

To return to the sign-in screen manually:

  1. Open the Profile overlay
  2. Tap SIGN IN in the guest panel

This exits guest mode and takes you to the sign-in screen. You can re-enter guest mode from there at any time.

What happens to Radio groups if I later create an account?

Radio group data lives on-device, it is not tied to your account. When you sign in, your Radio groups remain exactly where they are. You can also use Cloud Backup → to sync them to your account for safekeeping once signed in.
