Dropping Pins

A pin marks a single location on the map, a meeting point, a hazard, a vehicle position, a landmark, or anything else your team needs to know about.

When you drop a pin, every member of your group sees it on their map instantly.

How to drop a pin

There are two ways:

Long-press the map, press and hold on the exact spot you want. The creation dialog opens immediately at that location.

Tap PIN in the command bar, enters pin mode and shows a "DROP PIN" toolbar. Then:

  • Tap anywhere on the map to place the pin at that location, or
  • Tap USE MY LOCATION to place it at your current GPS position

Either way, a creation dialog opens. Fill in:

  • Label, a short name for the pin (e.g., "Rally point", "Downed tree", "Gate 3")
  • Icon, choose from 20 available icons
  • Color, pick from 20 accent colors
  • Description (optional), a longer note about this location

Tap Create to place it on the map.
