Join a Group

To join an existing group, you need an invite code from someone who's already in the group (an admin can generate one).

Invite codes look like this: FLS-A1B2C3D4

Join from the home screen​

  1. On the home screen, tap the + button
  2. Select Join a group
  3. Type in the invite code
  4. Tap Join

You'll be added to the group as a Member and taken straight to the map.

If someone shared a direct link (e.g., via text message or email), just tap the link on your device. Flaresat will open and ask if you want to join — tap Join to confirm.

What happens after you join​

  • The group appears on your home screen
  • You can see the map and all pins, routes, and areas
  • You can join the group chat
  • Your role will be Member by default — you can create items and send messages, but you can't change group settings or manage other members

Invite code tips​

  • Invite codes are case-insensitive — fls-a1b2c3d4 works the same as FLS-A1B2C3D4
  • Codes can be regenerated by an admin at any time (the old code stops working when regenerated)
  • An admin can also disable the invite code entirely to lock the group

Already in the group?​

If you enter a code for a group you're already in, Flaresat will just navigate you to that group — it won't add you twice.
