Managing Members

Group admins can view the full member list, change roles, and remove members.


View the member list

  1. Open the group's map
  2. Tap the Settings (gear) icon
  3. Scroll to the Members section

You'll see every member's name, avatar, and current role.


Change a member's role

  1. In the Members list, tap the member's name
  2. Select a new role: Viewer, Member, or Admin
  3. Confirm

The change takes effect immediately. See Roles & Permissions for what each role can do.


Remove a member (kick)

  1. In the Members list, tap the member's name
  2. Tap Remove from group
  3. Confirm

The member is removed immediately. Their map items and messages remain (historical context is preserved), but they can no longer see the group or any new activity. If they want to rejoin, they'll need a new invite code.

Admins cannot kick other admins. Demote them to Member first if you need to remove them.


Leaving a group

To leave a group yourself:

  1. Open Group Settings
  2. Tap Leave group
  3. Confirm

If you're the only admin: you must promote another member to Admin before you can leave.

After leaving, the group disappears from your home screen. Your past map items and messages remain visible to remaining members.


Deleting a group

Currently, groups are not deleted even when all members leave. Contact support if you need a group permanently removed.
