Searching for a Place
Place Search lets you jump the map to any city, address, or landmark instantly, without knowing its coordinates.
How to search
1
Open Command Grid
Tap the Command Grid button on the map.
2
Select Search
Select SEARCH.
3
Panel Opens
The Place Search panel opens.
4
Type a Query
Type at least 2 characters, a city, address, landmark, or any recognizable name.
5
Results Appear
Results appear automatically as you type (no need to press Enter).
6
Select a Result
Tap a result to fly the map to that location.
The map centers on the selected place and the panel closes.
Tips
- Results come from OpenStreetMap's global database, so coverage is worldwide
- If a search returns no results, try a broader term (e.g. the city name instead of a specific street)
- Place Search moves your map view only, it does not drop a pin. If you want to mark the location for your group, drop a pin there after navigating to it
