Guest mode
You don't need an account to try Flows. Tap Continue without account on the sign-in screen and everything you build — workflows, runs, records — lives only on this device.
What works as a guest
- Building and editing workflows manually
- Launching, running, and completing them (check, flag, note)
- Viewing records and stats
- The guided walkthrough
- Exporting and importing your data (see below)
What needs an account
AI drafting, organizations, comments and @mentions, notifications, and share links/QR all need an identity to make sense of — they're gated behind Sign in while you're a guest.
Backing up your local data
Because guest data lives only on this device, back it up before you switch phones or reinstall. From Profile → Data:
Tap Export workflows. Flows saves a .flows file (a plain backup) — share it to yourself, save it to a cloud drive, wherever you'd keep any other backup file.
On the new device, open Flows, go to Profile → Data → Import workflows, and pick the .flows file. Your workflows and records come back. Importing the same file twice never creates duplicates.
Moving to a real account
If you sign in after building things as a guest, Flows offers to copy everything into your account:
Move local workflows? Copy the N workflows and M records on this device into your account? The local copies are removed after the move.
Accept, and everything moves over (this is the same idempotent import used for .flows files, so it's safe even if it's interrupted — you can retry). Decline, and your local data stays on the device; you can move it later from Profile → Data → Move to cloud.
A Free-plan workflow cap applies to a move the same way it applies to creating a workflow directly — see FLARE PRO. If moving everything would put you over the cap, sign up for FLARE PRO first or trim your local workflows, then move the rest.
